MNC Coaches

At Murrumbeena Netball Club we are always looking for enthusiastic coaches to join our club.

Often our volunteer coaches come from within the Club; whether they be a parent of a child playing or an older sibling coaching a younger siblings team. We also encourage and welcome those from outside the club who simply want to develop their coaching skills or further immerse themselves in netball. If you would like to team up with a friend to co-coach together, we are more than happy to accommodate that arrangement.

The club will support you with the following:

• Provide you with a Coach Coordinator who will be your direct contact for any issues & assistance you require
• Provide you with a copy of the MNC Coach Handbook & Team Record Book which has been designed to provide you with the necessary information to perform the responsibilities of your role.
• The club will reimburse coaches after successfully completing either the Foundation Coaching Course or Development Coaching Course facilitated by Netball Victoria. The Foundation Coaching Course is the expected minimum training that all coaches must complete.
• Provide you with a Team Manager who organises the parent duty roster, distribute club emails and relevant information to parents and provide support on game days
• Provide you with the necessary equipment to perform the role of Coach. (more details below)
• The club endeavours to organise coach development, by an external accredited facilitator.
• You will be recognised by the club for your effort and time as a volunteer coach at the end of each season, in the form of a gift voucher.

Code of Conduct

All coaches must adhere to the MNC Code of Conduct as well as the Netball Victoria Code of Conduct.

Each team is provided with the following items:

Training balls x 5
Match ball x 1
Pump and spare needles
Ball bag
Set of velcro game day bibs (Maroon and Green)
Set of practice bibs (elastics sided) 
First aid kit
Cones x 10
Whistle
Drink bottle holder
Manicure set
Team Record Book
Team bag
